Etalon’s Equine Ancestry Composition and Breed Analysis is an in-depth comparison of your horse’s genetic make-up and how it’s like, or unlike, other horses within more than a few “breeds”, disciplines, and populations all over the world. We start with a “reference” population; one in which the genetics and characteristics have been statistically analyzed and carefully compared to each other for genetic similarity and difference. In submitting your horse’s hair sample you give you the DNA sample by which we will be able to compare your horse’s genes (the “unknown” horse) to these reference horses (“known” or defined horses) and provide information on what your horse has in common with each and every reference horse and their group as a whole. **Please note Ancestry results require 6-8 weeks processing time at which time you’re going to receive an email notification. Along with the Ancestry Composition you’re going to ALSO receive a comprehensive DNA analysis of your horse with our ProPanel!
